Judy Hines, the owner and director, has been in childcare since 1981. She is the founder of Judy's Early Learning Preschool and has owned and operated the school since 1990. Judy has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a Community Services Diploma in addition to her Early Childhood Education training. Prior to opening Judy's Nursery School she worked for nine years with preschoolers with special needs. This experience has been invaluable in helping assess any areas where a child may need assistance to fully reach their potential. Extensive experience, education and a desire to have each child treated as she would want her own treated has led to the establishment of an excellent preschool.

Pam Chapdelaine has also been in the childcare field since 1981 and at Judy's since 1998. Pam has received Early Childhood Education Training from Teachers College in Truro and from St. Joseph's College of Early Childhood Education in Halifax. Judy has known Pam most of her life having grown up in the same city and attended the same schools. Pam is also Judy's husband Sandy's cousin and close personal friend. Growing up in a very large family, Pam gained invaluable experience in how to deal with children of all ages. When an opening became available in the school in 1998, Judy offered Pam the job and was thrilled when she accepted. Pam has been with the school ever since and has been an amazing asset. She is exceptional with both the children and the parents and is loved by all. Her enthusiasm for young children and her nurturing nature contribute to making her such a wonderful preschool teacher.

Originally from England, Emma moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1991. While living there, she attended Langara College and obtained her Early Childhood Education Certificate. During her career she has enhanced her qualifications with Montessori Teacher Training and Orton Gillingham Math Tutoring for elementary aged children. Emma initially worked with children in the public school system who had been diagnosed with special needs and then spent 12 wonderful years teaching the Pre-Kindergarten programme at West Point Grey Academy. In 2010 Emma, her husband Alastair, and their son Kieran moved to Nova Scotia. Emma is passionate about teaching children during the most important early years of their learning and development and is thrilled to be a part of the team at Judy's Early Learning Preschool.
